The New India Institute of Nursing Studies (NIINS) is attached to the CMCH and it is located just a stone’s throw away from the Hospital. Housed in a spacious three-storied building, the Institute aims to provide first-rate theoretical knowledge and practical training to its students. The Institute also seeks to instill in the nurses the mission spirit of the NIDS and the CMCH while it also attempts to inculcate professionalism in them. This combination of service and skill is a genuine need of the present times because it is not merely their physical well-being that patients expect of nurses but an inward comfort and peace that would make them transformed individuals. The NIINS is well aware of the fact that providing such solace and tranquility is no easy job. Hence it trains its nurses under experienced hands even as it provides enough and more opportunities for the nurses to gain first-hand knowledge about patients’ individual needs and the means to solve their problems smoothly. The NIINS has a newly built three-storied state-of-the-art building admeasuring 33,000 sq. ft., located just a stone’s throw away from the CMCH.

Teaching block:
This block is conveniently divided into various halls, labs, rooms, etc. strictly according to the stipulations of the INC. The block houses spacious lecture halls, a/n nursing foundation lab, CHN nutrition lab, advanced nursing skill lab, obstetrics and gynecology lab, pediatric lab, pre-clinical science lab, computer lab, multipurpose hall, common rooms (for women and men), staff room, Principal’s room, Vice Principal’s room, library (housing over 500 volumes), and audio-visual aids room (storing manikins, models, charts, videos) faculty room and toilets
Administrative block:
A separate administrative block in the Institute building is a convenient space for the staff and students to get their academic and non-academic work done with the assistance of a group of dedicated employees.


Hostel:
There is a well-furnished and roomy dormitory, close to the Nursing Institute, for women students and separate accommodations for men.
Playground:
The Institute offers recreational facilities to its students. A fairly large playground, close to the Institute, has the space for students to play various games, matches, etc.
Mess Hall:
There are separate mess facilities on the campus for male and female students. For details of mess charges, please refer to the fee structure given below.
Canteen:
In addition to the mess halls, there is a common canteen where snacks, meals, etc. are served from ………..a.m. to …………… p.m. Students can pay cash and buy them.
